Email templates page
The Email Templates page displays all available email templates and provides access to the edit page for each template. Client Administrators can access the Email Templates page by selecting Email Templates from the Resources menu in the Hirevue header.
Note: You must have appropriate permissions in order to view this page.
The image below displays the Email Templates page. Areas where you can perform actions are highlighted and described below.
1 - Email Templates menu
Provides access to the Email Templates page, where you can edit or preview available templates.
2 - Filter
Filter or sort the records displayed on the page.
- Narrow By - Filters the records displayed on the page by name. For example, if you type "S" in the Narrow By filter field, the page displays all records where the email template name contains an "S" (Seasonal Warehouse, Campus Job, Client Success, etc.). If you type "Sea" in the filter field, the page displays all records where the template name contains the "Sea" string (Seasonal Warehouse). In order for templates to appear in the filter, they must contain the exact string of letters and/or numbers typed into the filter field, in the order in which they are typed.
- Custom Templates Only - Displays only those email templates that have been edited and are no longer default templates. Custom templates are indicated with the Custom tag next to the template name. For more information about custom templates, see Default and custom email templates.
- Filter by - Filters Realistic Job Previews by either interview type or recipient. Selecting any of the displayed tags filters the email templates in the grid to only display those templates that contain those tags. For example, if you want to only view On-Demand Video email templates directed towards Candidates, you can select the On-Demand Video filter from the Interview Type area, and the Candidate filter from the Recipient area. As a result, the email template page will only display the email templates that have both of those tags.
3 - Available email templates
Displays a list of email templates. Select any template in this view to open the template in the Edit Template page. Templates in this view are identified with the following markers:
- Interview type: Indicates the type of interview the email template applies to (for example, On-Demand Video).
- Custom tag: Indicates that the template has been customized and is no longer the default. If desired, you can use the Reset to Default option on the Edit Email Templates page to return it to its default state.
- Recipient tag: Indicates the intended user category of the recipient (for example, Candidate, Interviewer, or Recruiter).
4 - Action Menu
Click the action menu icon to open a sub-menu where you can select one of the following options:
- Edit Template: Opens the Edit Email Template page where you can customize and set recruiter permissions for the selected template. For more information, see Edit email templates .
- Preview: Displays a sample email generated with the selected template in either a desktop or mobile view. Choose this option to simulate what recipients see when they view emails created with this template.
