Builder page
Builder lets you search Hirevue's robust library of questions and add them to any stage in a job template or job. Builder questions were created and vetted by a team of industrial-organizational psychologists and offer you effective and engaging content to help you find outstanding candidates. You can access Builder from any job stage by selecting Show Settings > Interview Questions > Open Builder.
Before you add questions to a stage, you first use the smart search and filter functions in Builder to define your question requirements. Builder displays the most relevant questions first so you can find them quickly and add them to your stage. For more information, see Using Builder questions.
Below is an example of the Builder page. Areas of the page where you can perform actions are highlighted and described below.
1 - Question categories
Sort questions by their assigned Competencies, Prescreen, and Skills & Experience question categories. Builder questions were reviewed and placed into these categories based on which metric each question measures. Builder uses the information you enter when searching for questions to display the most relevant questions first, grouped by category. The categories and resulting questions appear dynamically depending on your search terms.
2 - Builder-suggested questions
Select a question from the listed results. Questions are categorized by the information you entered when searching for questions. Questions that match the details you entered appear in this list, with the most relevant questions at the top. Select Show more to see all the questions in each category.
For example, you want to add questions about communication skills to a stage being used to interview entry-level software developers. You would open Builder, enter "software developer" in the Job Role field, and select the best role from the list. Then select Entry-level from the Job Level menu and Communication from the Skills & Experience menu. Select Next to see your results, and then select the Skills & Experience question category. Questions relating to entry-level software developer communication skills are listed by question category.
3 - Add Questions
Select to add selected questions to the stage. Questions added from Builder are listed in the stage as usual, allowing you to edit the stage further.
