Insights tiles
Insights tiles provide a graphical display of your recruiting activity and trends over time. You can use the tiles in this section to monitor key performance metrics for your recruiting tasks, including:
- Response Rate On-Demand: Number or percent of candidates who submitted on-demand interviews at your request.
- Response Rate Scheduling: Number or percent of candidates who self-scheduled interviews at your request.
- Average Time Scheduling: Average length of time that candidates took to respond to your self-schedule requests.
- Average Time On-Demand: Average length of time that candidates took to submit on-demand video, voice, or text interviews that you requested.
- Activity Over Time: Number of interviews that you scheduled or requested over time.
Refer to the following sections for detailed descriptions and examples of each tile.
Insights tiles
Insights tiles are comprised of four data tiles and one trend tile, each designed to give you visibility into your recruiting activities and trends.
You can customize each of the available tiles by defining specific data types and date ranges for which you want to view data. When you customize the criteria that you want to use for each tile, HireVue automatically recalculates the data and updates the value shown in the display.
Click the following links to view more information about each of the Insights tiles, and how to customize them for your dashboard.
Response rate on-demand
The response rate on-demand tile displays the number or percentage of candidates that responded to your requests for on-demand interviews and that submitted their interviews successfully during the specified date range.
To calculate this number, Hirevue looks at all interview requests sent to candidates during the defined date range (for example, past 7 days, 30 days, or 365 days), and then calculates a response rate based on the number of those candidates that submitted their interviews.
Refer to the following image and links for more information about how you can customize this tile within your dashboard.
1 - Data display
Displays the calculated response rate according to the value set in the calculation type field (percentage or X of Y). If the calculation type field is set to:
- Percentage, then this field shows the overall percentage of candidates who submitted on-demand interviews during the specified date range.
- X of Y, then this field shows the total number of on-demand interview requests that you sent (Y), and the number of candidates that submitted their interviews (X).
2 - Interview type
Type of interviews for which you want to display response rate data. You can select:
- All (displays data from all on-demand interview types)
- On-demand video/web
- On-demand voice
- On-demand text
3 - Calculation type
Method by which you want to calculate the response rate for requested on-demand interviews. You can select:
- Percentage: Calculates the percentage of candidates who submitted interviews during the specified time period. For example, if you requested that 10 candidates complete on-demand interviews, and 5 candidates submitted their interviews, the value displayed would be 50%.
- X of Y: Displays the number of candidates who submitted interviews (X) and the total number of candidates from whom you requested interviews (Y). For example, if you requested that 10 candidates complete on-demand interviews, and 5 candidates submitted their interviews, the tile would display 5 of 10.
4 - Date range
Date range for which the response rate is calculated. You can select one of the preset date ranges (Past 7, 30, or 365 days), or you can select Custom to create your own date range.
When you select Custom, a pop-up window appears, where you can enter the Start Date and End Date for your custom date range. When you use custom date ranges, keep the following in mind:
- Custom date ranges are temporary. They are removed when the page is refreshed, or when you navigate off of the page.
- Only one custom date range can exist at a time. If you create two custom date ranges, the first date range that you created is removed when you save the second date range.
Response rate scheduling
The Response Rate Scheduling tile displays the number or percentage of candidates that responded to your request to self-schedule live video, voice, or in person interviews within the date range specified in the tile.
To calculate this number, Hirevue looks at all self-schedule requests sent to candidates during the defined date range (for example, past 7 days, 30 days, or 365 days), and then calculates a response rate based on the number of those candidates that responded to the request and scheduled their interviews.
Refer to the following image and links for more information about how you can customize this tile within your dashboard.
1 - Data display
Displays the candidate response rate for self-schedule interview requests according to the value set in the calculation type field (percentage or X of Y). If the calculation type field is set to:
- Percentage, then this field shows the overall percentage of candidates who self-scheduled an interview at your request during the specified date range.
- X of Y, then this field shows the total number of self-schedule requests that you sent (Y), and the number of candidates that self-scheduled an interview in response to your request (X), during the specified date range.
2 - Interview type
Type of interviews for which you want to display scheduling data. You can select:
- All (displays data from all live interview types)
- Live Video
- Live Voice
- In Person
3 - Calculation type
Method by which you want to calculate the self-scheduling response rate. You can select:
- Percentage: Calculates the percentage of candidates who self-scheduled interviews during the specified date range. For example, if you requested that 10 candidates self-schedule an interview, and 5 candidates did so, then the scheduling percentage would be 50%.
- X of Y: Displays the number of candidates who self-scheduled an interview (X) and the total number of candidates to whom you sent a self-schedule request (Y) during the specified date range. For example, if you requested that 10 candidates self-schedule an interview, and 5 candidates did so, then the X of Y value would be 5 of 10.

The unit of measure used to display times (minutes, hours, or days) varies depending on the length of time displayed. For times that are:
- Less than 3 hours, data is displayed in minutes
- Greater than 3 hours, but less than 3 days, data is displayed in hours
- Greater than 3 days, data is displayed in days
2 - Interview type
Type of interviews for which you want to display response rate data. You can select:
