Candidates
Candidates are job applicants that you invite to participate in Hirevue interviews. You can view candidates in two locations within the application:
- Interview stage pages - Displays all candidates invited to the selected interview stage. You can click each candidate within the interview stage to view their profile. For more information, see Job summary.
- Candidates page - Displays the profiles of each candidate that you have permission to view in your Hirevue application. Candidate profiles contain required information about each job applicant, such as name and email address, as well as additional optional fields, if configured for your application. Working with candidates in Hirevue
Once you add candidates to the application, anyone with the appropriate Hirevue permissions and group assignments can use the dashboard to view and edit candidate profiles, review and archive/ unarchive candidates, and invite candidates to participate in on-demand or live interviews.
When candidates exit the interview process and you no longer need their candidate profile, you can archive the profile to remove it from the Candidate dashboard. Unless you unarchive the candidate profile, it remains archived until the configured purge period (by default, 180 days), after which time it is permanently removed from the system.
Note: Hirevue automatically creates candidate profiles for candidates that self-register using Open Invite and for requests generated by integrated Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS).
Methods for adding candidates
You can add candidates to Hirevue either through the interview stage within the job (best practice) or directly to the Candidates page. See the following sections for more details about each method.
Interview stage (best practice)
The preferred method for add candidates to Hirevue is through an interview stage. When you add candidates to Hirevue either through an interview stage, they are automatically added to that interview stage, and are also available for selection in any other interview or job.
You can add a candidate individually, upload candidates from a spreadsheet, or select existing candidates from a list. For more information, see Add candidates to a stage.
Adding candidates from within the interview stage is the quickest, simplest, and most efficient way to work with candidates in Hirevue.
Candidates page
You can also add candidates to Hirevue through the Candidates page. You can use this page to add a candidate manually, import candidates from a spreadsheet, or ask candidates to self-register using Open Invite.
When you add candidates via the Candidates page they are available for selection within any interview or job. However, you must take the extra step of adding the candidate to the appropriate interview stage in order for them to receive an invitation to participate in the interview. For this reason, it is more efficient to add candidates directly to the interview stage (see previous section for details).
