Candidate activity
The Candidate activity page lets you view a snapshot of a candidate's stage activity in Hirevue, and you can perform actions related to the candidate's stages. To access the Candidate activity page, perform one of the following actions:
- Select the Candidate Review icon on the Candidates page.
- Select Candidate Activity from the action menu on Candidate details within a job stage.
- Select Candidate Activity from the action menu on the Review page (on-demand interviews).
The following image displays the Candidate activity page, and highlights areas of the page where you can perform actions.
1 - Edit the candidate profile
Opens the candidate profile in edit mode, where you can add, change, or delete values for any of the available fields.
2 - Filter
Use the filter to narrow the list of jobs or stages based on user-defined criteria. Only the jobs or stages that meet the criteria you define here will appear in the stage list.
Filter tag
Displays and lets you remove active filter criteria. Each filter criteria selected in the filter fields below appear in a separate tag.
To quickly remove one or more of the applied filter criteria, click the X in the filter tag for that criteria. Any new criteria that you define will appear in a new tag in this area.
Job title search
Lets you search by a specific job title. You can type all or part of a job title in order to search for jobs.
For example, if you type "S" in the search field, the page displays all jobs with titles containing an "S". If you type "Aca" in the search field, the page displays all records where the candidate name contains the "Aca" string. In order for records to appear in the filter, the records must contain the exact string of letters and/or numbers typed into the filter field, in the order in which they are typed.
Type
Lets you filter by stage type.
Live stage types
In Person
In person stages are live interviews where candidates and hiring managers meet in-person at a specific location.
Live - Phone
Live phone stages are phone interviews conducted with candidates and hiring managers using cell phones and landlines.
Live - Video
Live video stages are live video interviews with candidates and hiring managers using computers or mobile devices.
On-demand stage types
On-Demand - Phone
On-demand phone stages are audio interviews that candidates complete using their phone (mobile or land-line).
On-Demand Text
On-demand text stages are recorded text interviews that candidates complete using text messaging functionality on their cell phone or their web browser, depending on your system configuration.
On-Demand - Web/Video
On-demand video/web stages require that candidates complete the interview using their computer or mobile device.
Job
Lets you filter by a specific job title.
Requisition
Lets you filter by a job requisition.
3 - Action menu
Lets you perform actions related to the selected stage.
The items that appear in this menu are dependent on the stage type (on-demand or live), and status.
On-demand actions
Go to job stage
Displays the specific stage page for the job. You can use this page to view information about candidates in the stage, stage status, and where candidates are in the job workflow. You can also use this page to perform actions related to the stage, such as adding or scheduling candidates, accessing the candidate details view, resetting an interview, or manually advancing candidates to the next stage.
See responses
Lets you review a submitted interview.
Compare reviews
Lets you compare the reviews from different hiring managers about a candidate interview. This option takes you to the Review all ratings page, where you can see a summary of all reviews, and then click to view detailed feedback from reviewers.
Send for review
Lets you send the interview to hiring managers or interviewers. Depending on your system configuration, recipients of a sent interview may not need to be logged into the system in order to review the interview and provide feedback.
When you send an interview for review, you enter the email of the recipient(s), and then optionally set permissions and specify the interview elements that you want to share.
Reset interview
Lets you reset submitted or expired on-demand stages. When you reset an:
- Unsubmitted on-demand stage, then the candidate submission deadline (if configured) resets, and the candidate receives an email inviting them to complete the on-demand stage by the new date.
- Submitted on-demand stage, then the interview status changes to "Unsubmitted." The candidate submission deadline resets, and the candidate receives an email inviting them to complete the on-demand stage by the new date. They can then edit any response within the interview where they have retakesremaining. You will not be able to see their interview again until they resubmit it.
Cancel interview
Cancels the selected interview.
Live actions
Go to job stage
Displays the specific stage page for the job. You can use this page to view information about candidates in the stage, stage status, and where candidates are in the job workflow. You can also use this page to perform actions related to the stage, such as adding or scheduling candidates, accessing the candidate details view, resetting an interview, or manually advancing candidates to the next stage.
See responses
Lets you review a completed interview.
4 - Ratings indicators
Displays the average reviewer rating, stars review, and thumbs up/thumbs down review submitted for the interview. You can also see the number of reviews that were calculated to produce the average rating.
Specifically, you can refer to the:
- Left side of the card to see the assessment score and the candidate response score.
- Right side of the card to see the average rating, and number of reviews that were used to calculate the average, as well as a running average of the stars and thumbs up/thumbs down reviews submitted for the candidate. Thumbs up/thumbs down ratings are rounded to the positive. For example, if there is one "thumbs up" and one "thumbs down" rating for an interview, then the average rating is "thumbs up".
If assessments are licensed for your application and configured for the stage, the candidate card will also display assessment results. Assessment scores can be used to compare, prioritize, or automatically advance candidates. The following image shows a candidate card displaying an assessment score of 4 - Excellent Fit.
