Scheduling methods
Scheduling methods specify the way in which you want to schedule candidate interviews for live video, voice, or in person interview stages.
You select a scheduling method when you create or edit a live interview stage and can change the scheduling method at any time, regardless of whether you have already invited candidates to interview.
Note: If the scheduling method is changed after candidates have advanced to that stage, the changes will not apply. See Advancement for more information.
Scheduling methods
At the highest level, scheduling methods let you define whether you want to manually schedule candidate interviews yourself, or whether you want to allow candidates to self-schedule their own interviews, based on hiring manager availability.
If you choose to:
- Manually schedule interviews, then you will define the schedule and participants for each interview individually. Setting up interviews manually lets you meet complex scheduling needs, such as staggered start times or panel interviews. For more information, see Manual scheduling.
-
Let candidates self-schedule interviews, you can use HireVue's self-scheduling functionality to save time for recruiters, while offering candidates a more flexible and efficient candidate experience. You can select from the following two self-scheduling methods:
- Simple - one interviewer: Schedule interviews between one interviewer and one candidate.
- Advanced - one or more interviewers, complex schedules: Self-schedule any interview, from small groups of candidates, to large campus events.
For more information, see Candidate self-scheduling.
