Send an interview for review
You can send an interview for review to request that hiring managers provide feedback for an on-demand and/or live candidate interview.
Select the type of interview that you want to send for review:
On-demand interview (video, voice, or text)
To send an on-demand interview for review
the interview stage page that contains the interview you want to send.
- Click Jobs on the main Hirevue menu bar.
- On the Jobs page, click the job that you want to open. The job opens in the Job Summary view.
- On the Progress Bar, select the interview stage that contains the interview you want to send.
- On the Interview Stage page, select the check boxes next to the candidate interview(s) that you want to send.
- Click the More Actions menu button at the bottom of the page, and then select Send for Review.
On the Send for Review panel, configure the following options:
Who do you want to send...Email address of the reviewer(s) that you want to perform the review. If the reviewer:
- Exists in Hirevue as a recruiter or hiring manager, their contact information will appear for selection when you begin typing.
- Does not exist in Hirevue, then fields appear where you can enter the email address, first name, and last name of the reviewer.
Add Custom Message
Message to reviewers that you want to include in the review invitation email. You can use this field to request reviews be completed by a deadline, ask hiring managers to evaluate specific aspects of the interview, or provide other feedback specific to the candidate interview.
Review Questions
Lets you specify the individual question responses that you want to expose to reviewers. For example, you may not want reviewers to see the candidate responses to salary questions. In this scenario, you would elect to expose questions, but hide the question that asked candidates to provide their salary range.
If you want to:
- Hide questions from reviewers, clear the Review questions check box.
- Allow reviewers to see candidate responses to questions, select the Review questions check box, and then in the drop-down field, select one of the following options:
- All questions - Let reviewers see the candidate response to all questions in the on-demand interview.
- Only selected questions - Select the questions that you want reviewers to review. When you select this option, you can select the questions that you want to include in the forwarded interview.
Rate candidate
Determines whether hiring managers can provide any feedback, including interview level notes, question level review, and question level notes, when reviewing the candidate interview. If you:
- Select this check box, then hiring managers can provide their feedback within HireVue, as configured for the job.
- Clear this check box, then hiring managers can review the forwarded interview, but cannot provide their feedback within HireVue.
Watch introduction video
Determines whether the candidate's introduction video is available for hiring managers to review.
See contact information
Determines whether hiring managers can see contact information for the candidate. If this option is deselected, hiring managers will only be able to see the candidate's first name.
See documents
Determines whether hiring managers can see documents associated with the candidate. Documents (such as resume, cover letter, or work samples) can be uploaded by candidates or recruiters.
When you send an interview for review, you can choose which of these candidate documents that you want hiring managers to see. If you want to:
- Hide documents from reviewers, de-select the See documents check box.
- Allow reviewers to see documents associated with the candidate, select the See Documents check box, and then in the drop-down field, select one of the following options:
- All documents - Let reviewers see all documents associated with the candidate.
- Only selected documents - Select the documents that you want reviewers to review. When you select this option, you can select the document type that you want to include in the forwarded interview (for example, Resume, Reference, Cover Letter, Work Example, or Job Document).
Do you want to require the reviewer to enter a password?
Password that reviewers must enter in order to access the interview. If you require hiring managers to submit a password prior to reviewing the forwarded interview, you must communicate the password to them outside of Hirevue. They must be familiar with the password to use when first accessing the interview.
When should this review expire?
Date on which the forwarded interview expires, and will no longer be available for review. Your application was configured with a default value specific to your organization. However, you can override the default by using the calendar chooser to select a new date, if necessary.
- Click Send for Review. Hirevue sends hiring managers an email invitation with a link to the candidate's interview, where they can review and (if configured to do so) provide their feedback.
Live interview (video, voice, or in-person)
Hiring managers who are invited to attend live interviews can click a link within their email invitation at any time to review the candidate interview. They can either perform reviews during the candidate interview, or after the interview is complete.
If you want to capture the feedback of a hiring manager who did not receive an email invitation, you can use this procedure to send them a completed live interview for their review.
To send a live interview for review
the interview stage page that contains the interview you want to send.
- Click Jobs on the main Hirevue menu bar.
- On the Jobs page, click the job that you want to open. The job opens in the Job Summary view.
- On the Progress Bar, select the interview stage that contains the interview you want to send.
- Click the candidate card for the candidate interview that you want to send.
- Click the action menu icon (
), and then select View Candidate Details.
- On the interview that you want to send for review, click See Interview.
- On the Live Interview page for that candidate, click the action menu icon
, and then click Forward.
Enter the following information:
RecipientsEmail address of the reviewer(s) that you want to perform the review. If the reviewer:
- Exists in Hirevue as a recruiter or hiring manager, their contact information will appear for selection when you begin typing.
- Does not exist in Hirevue, then fields appear where you can enter the email address, first name, and last name of the reviewer. The reviewer is added to HireVue as a hiring manager.
Message
Message to reviewers that you want to include in the review invitation email. You can use this field to request reviews be completed by a deadline, ask hiring managers to evaluate specific aspects of the interview, or provide other feedback specific to the candidate interview.
