Analytics page
Analytics lets you view real-time graphical representations of your job, candidate, and assessment data. You can use the filtering function to view performance of recruiters and time-lines of job stage completions, as well as many other useful views.
Below is an example of the Analytics page. Areas of the page where you can perform actions are highlighted and described below.
1 - Assessment tab
Note: Assessment tab data includes platform assessments only.
Assessment scores distribution pie chart
The Scores pie chart displays the distribution of available assessment scores based on the scale used.
Notes
- Partial scores are included in the score count.
- Unable to Score is not included.
Partial Scores and Unable to Score can result from AI scored Ranked Recommendations activity.
- The count of scores in the pie chart should approximate the % completed in the funnel chart, less any "Unable to Score", expired interviews, or unscored assessments.
Funnel chart
The Funnel chart shows completion rates relative to the invited count and time to complete each status.
Notes
- # of Assessments = Count of assessments
- Percentage of Invited = Invited / Invited
- Percentage of Started = AssessmentStarted / Invited
- Duration of Started = AssessmentStarted - Invited
- Percentage of Completed = AssessmentCompleted / Invited
- Duration of Completion = AssessmentCompleted - AssessmentStarted
- Percentage of Advanced = Advanced / Invited
- Duration of Advancement = Advanced - AssessmentCompleted
- Candidates Eligible = Count of completed AND job has another stage after current stage (Stage Exemptions are included)
- “Advanced” bar hides if # of Advanced = 0

Throughput chart
The Throughput chart shows activity in each status over time.
Notes
- Invited = Invitations to complete an assessment. For many clients with ATS integrations, the "invitation" occurs when the candidate is sent from the ATS into the HireVue system.
- Started = Assessment started. This is the first interaction with the assessment.
- Completed = Assessment completed. When the candidate completes the last exercise.
- Advanced= When the candidate is advanced to the next stage.
- Canceled and expired statuses are rolled into the count for the greatest status achieved prior to the cancellation or expiration.
- Example: Candidate A starts the assessment and then doesn't continue; invitation eventually expires. The started count would include Candidate A's started assessment. The data export has canceled and expired if desired.
Chart Note: You can exclude statuses and scores on the charts above by clicking on the status or score in the legend of the chart.
2 - On-Demand tab
Ratings pie chart
The Ratings pie chart displays the average star rating per interview. Configuration determines whether data will include interview level ratings (default) or question level ratings.
Notes
- Question level ratings are averaged up together to create an interview level rating.
- Interviews with an average rating of 0 are excluded from the chart but are available in the export.
- 0 stars interview rating counts toward the average calculation.
- 0 stars question level rating is NULL. If all question ratings in review are left as 0 then the entire rating is NULL and is excluded from the average calculation.
The count displayed = The count of Interviews with an average rating > 0.
Recommended pie chart
The Recommended pie chart shows average recommendations for each interview.
Funnel chart
The Funnel chart shows completion rates relative to the invited count and time to complete each status. It is calculated using timestamps.

- # of Interviews = Count of Interviews

- Percentage of Started = InterviewStarted / Invited

Note: Meetings are not included in live Analytics data.

- Other statuses like Canceled and Expired are not included in this chart but are available in the export..

4 - Filter
Filtering notes
- Multiple filters can be applied.
- Selected filters retain during navigation to other tabs.
Filter definitions
Date Range
Date Range - The beginning and end dates of the filtered reporting data.
Job details
Jobs - Select one or more available jobs to include in the search results.
Job Templates - The highest-level parent for a job.
Example:
Create Job Template 1
Clone Job Template 1 to create Job A
Clone Job A to create Job B.
Both Job A and Job B will show Job Template 1 as their Job template.
Recruiter team - Filter by recruiter names that are assigned to available jobs.
Requisition Numbers - Client-specific requisition identifier (ID) associated with available jobs.
Hiring Technology
Interview Types - Currently, the following Interview Types are available for reporting:
- On-Demand Web/Video
- On-Demand Phone
- On-Demand Text
- Live phone
- Live video
- In person
Assessments - Filter from all available assessments (including embedded). Applies to Assessment and On-Demand tabs.
Stage Numbers - The order number of the stage within available jobs. For example, if all of your available jobs have a On-Demand Web/Video as the second stage, then selecting '2' in this field will include only these second stages in the reporting results.
Scheduling Method(s) - Filter from all interview scheduling methods. Applies to Live tab.
Exclude Cloned Data - Check this box to exclude all cloned candidate interviews or assessments.
Exclude Exempt Candidates - Check this box to exclude all candidates that have been exempted from stages.
Location and Job Custom Fields1-5
- Each field only shows if it has data.
- Job Custom Fields 1-5 use labels that can be modified as language resources.
- The entire Custom Fields section is hidden if no filters are available.
5 - Queue Export
Export notes
- You can only see exports that you requested.
- Exports are displayed for 14 days on the Analytics Data Exports page.
