What is a submission deadline?

Submission deadline is the number of hours a candidate has to complete their on-demand interview (for example, 24, 48, or 72 hours). You can enter “0” to allow candidates an unlimited amount of time. Defining a submission deadline provides candidates a allotted amount of time to complete their interview, which allows the interview process to keep moving forward.

By default, the countdown starts when candidates log in to their interview.

Acme Corp is recruiting for a Sales position and wants to create a sense of urgency with candidates. The recruiter sets a submission deadline of five days, thus giving candidates five days to complete their interview before the interview stage expires. If a candidate can't complete the interview within the five day time frame, that candidate is deemed not a good fit for Acme Corp.
