Select assessment

Assessments are employment screening tests you can use with on-demand video/web or on-demand text stages to identify candidates that will be a good fit for your organization. When automatic advancement based on assessment is configured, you can also use assessment scores to automatically advance candidates from one stage to the next. 

When you associate an assessment with an

• On-demand video/web interview, the assessment appears as a separate screen in the flow.
• On-demand text stage, the assessment questions appear within the web browser experience.

You can configure the stage to present the assessment to candidates before or after the interview questions.

Note: Assessments are a licensed feature in Hirevue and may not be available for your application. See your HireVue system administrator for more information.

Assessment settings

Note: Settings are not editable for Hirevue assessments. If you want to change an assessment setting for a Hirevue assessment, contact your Customer Success Director.

To select an assessment to include with your on-demand video/web or text stage, from the Assessment Provider field, select the assessment you want to use and then configure the following fields:

Assessment

Select the assessment you want to include from a list of assessments available from your selected provider.

Candidate Display Order

Select the order in which you want to display the assessment to the candidate. Select Assessment First if you want candidates to complete the assessment before completing the interview questions. Otherwise, select Interview First.

Automated Advancement

You can advance candidates that earn a specific assessment score when responding to assessments during on-demand stages. If you want to automatically advance candidates based on their assessment score, then from the Automated Advancement drop-down field, select Assessment Score.

In order for candidates to automatically advance based on assessment score, the subsequent stage must also be configured for automatic advancement based on assessment.

Advance Scores Greater than or Equal To (available when Automated Advancement is enabled)

When you set the Automated Advancement field to Assessment Score, you can use this field to define the minimum total score that candidates must meet or exceed in order to advance to the next interview stage.

Include Developmental Feedback

When you check the Include Developmental Feedback option, you will have the option to view and send the developmental feedback report (DFR).

Note: The DFR is a licensed feature in Hirevue and may not be available for your application. See your system administrator for more information.

Include Candidate Feedback

When you check the Include Candidate Feedback option and the Email Candidate Feedback option, the candidate will receive an email after completing the assessment with a link to the candidate feedback report (CFR). The report will also be available on the candidate dashboard.
