Send for review (forwarding)
Send for review functionality in Hirevue lets you send submitted on-demand interviews or live (recorded) interviews to hiring managers for review.
You can send live or on-demand interviews to any hiring manager as long as they have a valid email address, even if they are not a current Hirevue user. In default application configurations, when you send an interview for review to someone who is not a current Hirevue user, they are automatically added to your address book. When they open the interview, they are also added to the system.
Hiring managers reviewing interviews can only access the interviews for reviewing purposes. They do not have permission to view other screens or perform tasks other than reviewing their assigned interviews.
How it works
When you send an on-demand or live interview for review, you specify the email address of the reviewer, and then create a message that the reviewer will see in the email invitation. If you are sending an on-demand interview, you can configure additional options to select the documents and information that you want hiring managers to see.
Hiring managers receive an email inviting them to review the interview(s). They can click a link within the email to access the review page, where they can view and rate (if configured to do so) the forwarded interview.
See the following sections for details about what you can include when sending on-demand and live interviews to reviewers.
On-demand interviews
You can send any on-demand interview (video, voice, or text) submitted by candidates to hiring managers to obtain their feedback. Hiring managers can view the interview and accompanying documents, and then use the available review tools to rate and provide feedback about the candidate.
When you send an on-demand interview to hiring managers, you can also select the interview questions for which you want hiring managers to review candidate responses.
For example, if you have a question about salary requirements or availability that is not necessary for hiring managers to see, you can deselect those questions before sending the interview. Hiring managers will only see candidate responses for the questions that you select.
Live interviews
Although you can send any live interview, this function has the greatest impact when the interview is recorded. For example, if a critical hiring manager is not able to attend a live interview, you can record the live interview and then later send them the recording to request their feedback.
If you send a live interview that:
- Was recorded, hiring managers who were unable to attend the interview can view the discussion that took place, and provide their feedback at a later date.
- Was not recorded, then hiring managers can only see the questions configured for the interview. However, if they attended the live interview (and if the job is configured to allow hiring managers to review), they can still provide their feedback on the candidate.
Sending multiple candidate interviews for review
When you send on-demand and live interviews for review, you can select multiple candidate interviews to send simultaneously to a single hiring manager.
If you are sending:
- On-demand interviews, then hiring managers receive a single email through which they can review all interviews. They can click the link in the email to access the review screen, where they can click various tabs for each candidate and compare their responses from a single screen. If the interviews are for more than one job, then the job names appear in a bulleted list within the email.
- Live interviews, then hiring managers receive a separate email for each interview that you send. Hiring managers can click the link within each email to individually review each candidate.
